Actress Sally Field has mixed feelings about her days as the star of the 1960s TV series "Gidget" and "The Flying Nun." "One side of me always felt very affectionate and very nostalgic toward those series," she said in a McCall's magazine interview. "And the other side wants to kick those characters around the block." Things got really bad during her stint as the flying nun. "I thought I was going to die from boredom," she said. "It was like Chinese torture. You thought you were going to lose your mind. I mean, how many doughnuts can you eat in a day, just to get rid of the boredom?"
