Glenn "Doug" Douglas, age 58, died at his home in Salt Lake City on June 16, 1991 of causes incident to AIDS.

Born October 18, 1932, Burch Creek (Ogden), Utah, to Archie and Lizzie Dickeson Douglas. U.S. Navy veteran. Manager/owner of Esquire Lounge in Hotel Ben Lomond during the early 1970's. Night auditor for Hotel Ben Lomond in Ogden and Hotel Newhouse in Salt Lake City; employed by University of Utah for 13 years, most of that time as supervisor in University of Utah Hospital Credit Department, a job he enjoyed and disliked having to leave. Member LDS Church; member Rosicrucian Order, AMORC; founding member of Wasatch Leathermen Motorcycle Club.A shy, gentle, kind man who loved his life partner, his cat Hermann, his house and garden, the movies and big bands of the 30's, 40's, and 50's and the "belters" Garland, Merman, Steisand, and Liza.

Survived by Les Emmett, his life partner of 17 years; his sisters, Mrs. Dee Jencks, Salt Lake City; Mrs. ShirLee Wayman and Mrs. Ruth Jackman, Ogden, many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents and a brother.

Memorial services to be held June 25 at 7:30 p.m. at the Resurrection Metropolitan Community Church, 823 So. 600 East, Salt Lake City. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Utah AIDS Foundation food bank.
