SECOND VICTIM OF MT. NEBO CRASH IDENTIFIED AS A TOOELE WOMAN

The passenger killed in an airplane crash on Mount Nebo Saturday was positively ident-ified Wednesday by the state medical examiner's office as Laurie Ann Gagnon, 26, 171 S. Coleman, Tooele. She was one of two victims of the plane crash.

Juab County Deputy William Thompkins said the pilot of the single engine fixed wing aircraft that crashed and burned Saturday was Earl Hugh Moore, 49, 4636 Woodduck Lane, Holladay.Moore was the owner of Mercury Aviation, Tooele.

Positive identification for Moore was released by the state medical examiner's office Tuesday.

The two bodies were taken to the medical examiner's office Saturday evening after they were retrieved from a canyon near the Reece's Flat area of Mount Nebo, Thompkins said.

The FAA conducted an investigation at the site, said Thompkins.

Moore had been flying over the power lines of Utah Power and Light in the Richfield area earlier, Thompkins said.

Juab County Sheriff Dave Carter said he did not think the plane had struck a power line as was earlier reported. The insulators are in three stacked sections approximately 6 feet long.
