DEATH: JAMES D. MILBURN

James D. Milburn, 72, passed away Thursday, June 20, 1991 at his home in Layton of lung cancer.

Born July 21, 1918 to Earl Monroe and Margaret Ann Shaw Milburn in Salt Lake City. He married Liane Manwaring October 25, 1937 in Salt Lake; they were later divorced. He retired from Hill Air Force Base. he lived in Salt Lake for 51 years, and in Layton for 21 years. He attended West High School. He played softball most of his life. He loved sports and fishing. He was a member of Roy Eagles Lodge, #3198, Veteran of Foreign Wars, and the American Legion. He served in the Navy during World War II.Surviving are his companion, Irene Rowley; one son and three daughters, L. Bruce Milburn, Layton; Penny Lundquist Spencer, Roy; Lynne Gibson, Visalia, Calif.; Jadine Steadman, Provo; 11 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.

There will be no public service. Cremation under the direction of Lindquist's Layton Mortuary. In lieu of flowers, family suggests contributions be made to the local Cancer Society.
