Clifton Bird Wood, 92, passed away June 20, 1991.

He was born March 12, 1899 in Farmington, Utah a son of Jonathan David and Kathleen Blanche Bird Wood. He married Iva Smith on June 14,1922 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Iva preceded him in death. He was a gentle person who expressed great love and service to his wife, family, church, neighbors and civic organizations. He was an example for good to all. Active in the LDS Church, he served in the bishopric, youth organizations and the choir, where he was secretary for many years. He was a florist for Miller Floral Co. for 36 years. He was an original member of the Farmington Fire Department and served as Farmington City Recorder.

He is survived by four children, Dr. Don Clifton (Geneal) Wood, Salt Lake City; La Rue (Rell) Francis, Taber, Alberta, Canada; Carol (Don) Jardine, Minneapolis, Minnesota; Paul Smith (Carolyn) Wood, Farmington; 17 living grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 25 at 12 noon in the Farmington LDS Rock Chapel, 272 North Main. Friends may call Monday evening from 6 - 8 p.m. at Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main and at the church on Tuesday from 10:45 - 11:45 a.m. prior to the services. Interment: Farmington City Cemetery.
