Thelma Reed Walker, 81, died June 21, 1991 in a Salt Lake hospital.
Born July 7, 1909 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Henry "Harry" and Caroline Rindlisbacher Reed. Married Martin Frederick "Fred" Walker in Anaconda, Montana December 17, 1928. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Thelma was an active member of the LDS Church, serving in many stake and ward organizations. She particularly enjoyed working with the Young Women. She loved to raise roses, and she gave many hours of service to her family and friends using her nursing skills. She worked as a surgical nurse at LDS Hospital, and also worked as an office nurse for various doctors.Survived by husband Fred, Midvale; sisters and brothers, Lavina Reed Peterson, Midvale; Floyd L. Reed, St. George; Verl Reed, Lehi; Dorothy Reed Rushton, Sandy; and E. Kenten Reed, Sandy. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews who loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers and
sisters, James, Wanda, Phyllis and Rodney.
Funeral Services Tuesday, June 25th, 11 a.m., in the Midvale North Stake Center, 97 West 7500 South. Friends may call at Goff Mortuary, 8090 So. State, Monday from 6-8 p.m. and at the Stake Center Tuesday 9:45-10:45 a.m.
Burial, Midvale City Cemetery.
