It's the Police vs. TV News - all because of a window. Monday, a KSL photographer opened a window on the fourth floor of the Salt Lake Public Safety Building to transmit a live shot to the studio. But when he opened the window, it tumbled four stories, taking metal mezzanines with it. Salt Lake police say the photographer unscrewed the window, which caused it to fall. But KSL contends the photographer simply turned the handle and opened the window. KSL says the department should be happy it discovered the problem during an accident in which no one was hurt. The city attorney, however, has become involved in the dispute and was scheduled to meet with KSL's operations manager Wednesday to resolve the problem. Oddly, the window fell four floors but did not break.
