SBA OFFERS DISASTER LOANS

Small-business owners in Kane and San Juan counties have until July 22 to apply for disaster loans because of storms that occurred in Arizona between July 8 and Sept. 14, 1990.

Stan Nakano, Utah district director for the Small Business Administration, said eligible business applicants may qualify for working capital loans of up to $500,000 to meet financial obligations they would have met if the disaster hadn't occurred.Loan terms will be based upon the ability of each applicant to repay the loan, but the maximum is 30 years with an interest rate of 4 percent.
