SEVIER SCHOOL DISTRICT BESTOWS HONORS

Randy Johnson was selected as the Sevier School District's Principal of the Year, Brad Whittaker was chosen for a similar annual honor among teachers, and Carole Wash-burn was named for the classified personnel honor.

Recognized for the "Eagle of the Year" award was Fred Chris-tensen, who was cited for "outstanding, ongoing and generous contributions" to education. He is manager of the Richfield Coca-Cola Bottling Co.Eight retiring employees were honored, while 39 teachers and 15 classified employees were recognized for varying years with the district.

Educators honored for 30 years of service were Principal Ron Utley of Ashman Elementary; and teachers Betty DiNodica and Mary Dell Lindgren, both of Monroe; Delphine Hunt, Joyce Poul-son and Anderson, all of Richfield; and Eugene Tidlund, Salina.

Retiring teachers and their lengths of service are Marie Hen-drickson, Salina Elementary, 31 years; Larry Anderson, Richfield's Red Hills Middle School, 30 years; and Sybil Warnock, Richfield's Ashman Elementary, 24 years.

Classified retirees are Beverly Lowe, 23 years' service; Jeannine Das-trup, 21; Ida Frandsen, 16; Ellis Rae Jensen, 15; and Jeanne Nielsen, nine.
