DEATH: ALLEN J. HERMANSEN

Allen J. Hermansen, our loving and devoted husband, dad and grandfather, 62, peacefully passed on to his Heavenly Father June 26, 1991 at his home.

Born July 31, 1928 in Monroe, Utah, son of Joseph and Florence Jensen Hermansen. Married Merlene Draper September 9, 1947 in the Manti LDS Temple.He was the last of six generations of flour millers originating in Denmark and was employed by Salt Lake flour mills for 39 years.

He was a kind, gentle and hard working man who found great happiness in camping and fishing with his family in the mountains above Fairview.

Survived by his wife, six sons, two daughters and their spouses, Dan and Nicey, Brint and Leslie, David and Karen, Val and Alicia, Jeff and Cindy Powell, Kevin and Laura Allred, Lance and Fabi, and Layne; 26 grandchildren, one great-grandchild, all living in the Salt Lake valley; brothers and sister, Marlin and Dale, Fairview; Lavern Sims, Cedar City. Preceded in death by parents, two brothers, Devon and Lavar.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m., Saturday, June 29th, in the 19th LDS Ward Chapel, 225 West 500 North, SLC, where friends and family may call two hours prior to services. Cemetery for interment is pending. Russon Brothers Mortuary of Salt Lake City in charge.
