Alan J. Rentmeister has been named as the new president of the Syracuse City Lions Club, succeeding Marvin Hawks for the 1991-92 year.

Rentmeister has been a member of the Lions for 15 years. He's been active in many Syracuse Lions Club projects, including the Heritage Days celebration and the flag project at the city cemetery.Other new officers include: Jim Rentmeister and Steve Anderson as two-year directors; Steve Johnson and Frank Kelly as one-year directors; Brent Della Silva as first vice-president and Claude McBride as secretary/treasurer.

Although the Lions Club failed to interest Syracuse City in purchasing their meeting hall for expanded city offices, the Lions Club plans to extend the flags in their cemetery flag project and to also better develop the Syracuse rodeo grounds.
