OGDEN FIRM LANDS CONTRACT TO MANAGE CALIFORNIA BUILDING

Management and Training Corp. of Ogden has been awarded a contract by the federal government's General Services Administration to operate and maintain the federal building in Long Beach, Calif., effective July 1.

It is a one-year contract with four option years and is valued at $5.8 million. The new federal building contains 275,000 square feet and will house 500 federal employees.MTC operates and maintains federal buildings, courthouses and post office buildings in Van Nuys, Hawthorne, San Jose, Sen Pedro and Santa Ana, Calif., and the federal building complex in San Antonio, Texas. The company also manages 20 Job Corps centers nationally, a 400-bed correctional facility in California and Meridian Publishing in Ogden.
