Charles Black Jr. has been voted to serve as the chairman of the board of directors of the Weber Basin Water Conservancy District.
Appointed to the board in 1987 by Gov. Norm Bangerter, Black replaces Wayne B. Gibson, who has served as chairman for the past four years.Black works as general manager of Black Island Farms and is president of Condies Foods Inc.
The water district serves a five-county area, providing irrigation water in Box Elder, Davis, Morgan, Summit and Weber counties. It also provides culinary and industrial water to customers in Davis and Weber counties.
