INDECIPHERABLE HANDWRITING LANDS WOULD-BE ROBBER IN JAIL

A would-be bank robber was foiled by his own sloppy handwriting.

The man entered a south Tacoma, Wash., branch of Puget Sound Bank and handed a teller a note. She later told police she could make out the words "Give me," but could not decipher the rest of it.When she asked him what it said, the man pointed and said "Look," police reports said.

When a second teller couldn't read the note either, the man took off.

Police caught the man and booked him on investigation of attempted robbery after the Tuesday afternoon incident.
