The Utah Institute for Biblical Studies is offering three classes during its 1991 summer quarter.
Dave Crump, Ken Mulholland and Tom McClenahan are teaching "The Trinity: Knowing the True God," 7 to 9:30 p.m. Mondays from July 1 to July 29. The five-week class will look at the teaching of scripture at the much-disputed Christian doctrine of the Holy Trinity as well as the historical context in which the Trinity was first stated. The cost is $50, and 11/2 credit hours are available.Mulholland is teaching "The Confessions of Augustine," 7 to 9:30 p.m. on Tuesdays from July 2 through July 30. Augustine is held in highest esteem by both Protestants and Roman Catholics. Students can discover the charm and power of Augustine by reading his reflections on his years of rebellion and eventual conversion to Christianity in his famous Confessions. The class cost is also $50, with 11/2 credit hours available.
Already in progress is McClenahan's "Ecclesiastes" course, which is taught Tuesdays through July 9.
