GUARDSMEN UNHURT IN CRASH

Two members of the Utah Army National Guard escaped injury Thursday night in a helicopter crash at Camp Williams.

The crewmen, whose names were not released, were flying an OH-58 Kiowa scout helicopter in a training mission about 11 p.m. when the aircraft went down, said Utah National Guard Lt. Col. Bob Nelson."The helicopter was seriously damaged but will be repaired."

The OH-58 - part of the guard's 1st Battalion, 211th Aviation Regiment, stationed at Airport No. 2 in West Jordan - identifies targets for the Apache attack helicopter to destroy.
