STING ARE 1-5 ON SEASON AFTER SUNDAY LOSS TO FOXES

The Salt Lake Sting fell deeper into the APSL Western Conference cellar Sunday with a 1-0 loss to the Colorado Foxes.

With another good-defense, no-offense showing, the Sting dropped to 1-5 on the season. Colorado raised its record to 3-0.The game was a scoreless duel for 87 minutes and 15 seconds, when the Foxes' Efrin Rodate, with an assist by goalie Jim St. Andre, booted the ball past Sting goalkeeper Mark Lehnert. Prior to that, Lehnert had six saves.

In the final 2:45, the Sting couldn't manage a shot on goal. For the game, the Sting took just eight shots, compared to 12 for the Foxes.

The Sting next play Friday at Derks Field against the San Francisco Blackhawks.
