The second annual Sundance Bluegrass Festival will take place Thursday, July 4, at the base of the ski lifts on the front lawn at Sundance Resort in Provo Canyon.
The festival will begin at 10 a.m. and continue until 8 p.m. with guest artists Powder Ridge, the Jim Shupe Band, String Fever, Utah Old Time Fiddlers, Bluegrass Conspiracy, Shades of Grass, Jim Shupe Jr., Rocky Mountain Rascals and the Jim Shupe Fiddlers. Family bands will include the Duncan Family, Hyatt Family, Roper Family, Keller Family and the Andersen Family.KKAT Radio's music director and afternoon host, "Gentleman Jim" will be the festival's master of ceremonies.
Tickets will be $6 adults, $3.50 children 12 and under and a family ticket, for four or more, at $4.50 per person. Tickets can be purchased at the Great Salt Lake Guitar Co. in Provo, Herger Music, Acoustic Music and the Sundance ticket office.
An outdoor barbeque serving mesquite-grilled specialties will be available on the Bridge Deck from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., at $6.95 ($4.95 children 12 and under).
