WEBER STATE COACHES HONORED

The Weber State University coaching staff has walked off with the spring coaching honors from the Big Sky Conference, but Northern Arizona University track coach Ron Mann claimed his fifth Conference Track Coach of the Year award.

Keith Cox, who led the Weber State men's and women's tennis teams to their 1991 Big Sky championships, was the league's Tennis Coach of the Year. The women's team claimed the top prize for the seventh time in nine years while the men took the team title for the 10th year.It was the 10th time Cox was named men's coach of the year and the fifth as women's coach of the year.

And the Wildcat's women's track and field coach Jim Blaisdell claimed coach of the year honors for the outdoor side of that sport after guiding Weber State to its first ever Big Sky Conference outdoor track and field title.

The Wildcats edged Northern Arizona by 15-points for the team crown, led by Elizabeth Kealamakia who was named Outstanding Track Athlete of the championship meet.
