Utah Valley Community College is offering 10 Minority Advisory Council tuition-waiver scholarships to qualifying minorities before July 1.
This is the first year the scholarships have been available, said Grant Cook, dean of academic support services.Applicants must be a Utah resident, a high school graduate with a grade-point average of at least 2.5 or have completed less than 15 credit hours at UVCC with a GPA of 2.5 or higher. They must also also be a member of one of the following minority groups: American Indian, African American, Asian/Pacific Islander or Hispanic.
