Four Utah prep baseball players were selected in this week's major league baseball draft.

The group is headed by Judd Wilstead, a Dixie High pitcher who was drafted in the second round by the Milwaukee Brewers. The Brewers have indicated that the 6-foot-4 Wilstead may be sent to their Pioneer League farm team - the Helena Brewers. He now plays for the San Diego Padres.

The other three players drafted are first baseman Jeremy Winget of Murray High, selected in the 30th round by the Baltimore Orioles; Alta pitcher Doug Webb, picked by the Chicago Cubs in the 40th round; and Troy Doezie, catcher for Brighton, who was slected by the Minnesota Twins.
