FBI officials are asking for the public's help in identifying a man who robbed two banks Monday in Salt Lake City and Ogden.
Just after noon, a man entered Key Bank in the Crossroads Plaza, 50 S. Main. He walked up to a teller's window, and when the teller turned around, the robber was holding a small silver-color revolver. The gunman said, "Give me all your hundreds and fifties and make it quick," a Salt Lake police report stated. After he was given some cash, he stuffed the money into his pocket and left through the mall. He warned the employee not to call police just as he left.
Later that afternoon, just before 5 p.m., a man entered a bank at 2590 Washington Blvd. in Ogden. He pointed a small automatic handgun at a teller and demanded bills in $50 and $100 denominations.
"We're sure it's the same guy," said FBI agent Tim Screen.
Video cameras at both banks captured the suspect on film. Anyone who may recognize the robber is encouraged to call the FBI at 355-7521.
