Our beloved husband, father, grandfather, son, brother and friend George Stanley Groneman passed from this life June 3, 1991. He was 60.

George Groneman was born June 19, 1930 in Salt Lake City to Earl Rose Groneman, Sr. and Eliza Holley. He married Meredith Dowdle June 15, 1956 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. As a member of the LDS Church, George served a mission to the Western States Mission and held many church callings through the years. He was a High Priest in the Bountiful 18th ward. George served his country honorably in the Counter Intelligence Corps in Korea from 1952 to 1954. He graduated from Brigham Young University and did his post graduate work at the University of Utah. An employee of UNISYS for 32 years George worked in many areas of the company, most recently for the Human Resources department where he endeavored to provide learning opportunities for his co-workers. George began an in-plant high school completion program which, over the past 10 years, assisted many employees in earning a high high school diploma. He served on the Governer's Advisory Board for Education and the Economic Advisory Board. He served 10 years on the Deans advisory council for the College of Business at USU and was a member of the Snow College Heritage Club. Respected and loved by all who knew him, George will be remembered for his untiring service to both the Lord and his fellow men. His passing greatly saddens us. His never ending love for his family and fellow men will be deeply missed.Survivors include his wife Meredith Dowdle Groneman, two sons and two daughters Stanley George (wife Carrie), Lori (husband Theodore), Nanette, and Bradford; eight grandchildren. Also his father, two brothers and one sister. Earl Jr. (wife Alice), Holley B. (wife Diane), and Adele (husband Kenneth) Truscott. George was preceded in death by his mother Eliza.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday June 8, 1991 at 1 p.m. at the Bountiful 18th Ward, 165 South 1000 East. Friends may call on Friday June 7th from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Russon Union Mortuary at 295 North Main Street, Bountiful, and at the chapel one and one half hours prior to the service.
