BICYCLE-SAFETY CLINIC SATURDAY AT HOSPITAL

Pioneer Valley Hospital will teach a bicycle-safety clinic at noon on Saturday, June 15.

Dr. George Veasy, an orthopedic surgeon and avid cyclist, says wearing a helmet can reduce the risk of serious head injury by 85 percent. And by following simple bicycle safety rules, riders can avoid injuries.The clinic, which will take place in the hospital's north parking lot next to the emergency room entrance, will teach safety rules and bicycle maintenance.
