LIBRARIES OFFER 4 WRITING CLASSES

Four writing workshops for kids are being jointly sponsored by the Salt Lake City and Salt Lake County library systems.

The workshops are intended to help kids ages 6 to 12 practice their writing skills, write their own stories and learn about a children's writing contest they can enter.The Reading Rainbow Writing Contest is sponsored by the library systems and KUED television.

The workshops are:

- Saturday, June 15, 11 a.m., Rose Park Library, 1185 W. 1000 North, featuring Carolyn Campbell.

- Saturday, June 22, 10:30 a.m., West Valley Library, 2280 W. 3650 South, featuring Ila Dreier.

- Saturday, July 13, 10:30 a.m., Sprague Library, 2131 S. 1100 East, featuring Ann Cannon.

- Saturday, July 20, 10:30 a.m., Holladay Library, 2150 E. 4800 South, featuring Helen Glissmeyer.
