Brigham Young University Conferences and Workshops and BYU's department of clothing and textiles will conduct their ninth annual Sewing and Needle Arts Conference Tuesday through Friday, June 11-14.

"The purpose of our conference is to provide an intense educational experience in quality use of fabrics, threads and sewing equipment," said Della Steineckert, conference director and instructor.She said this year's conference offers more than 180 classes and 70 workshops. Steineckert said one-hour classes follow a lecture/demonstration format and are available on a first-come basis. The two-hour workshops allow hands-on experience and require preregistration.

Daily sessions will take place from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Evening sessions have been added to accommodate more participants, from 5:40 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
