DEATH: LAMONT C. SORENSON

LaMont C. Sorenson, age 86, died in Wasatch Villa Convalescent Center in Salt Lake City on June 5, 1991 of natural causes.

He was born September 15, 1904 in Centerfield, Utah to Christian Sorenson and Elizabeth Bardsley Sorenson. He married Mary Gardner December 15, 1933 in Salt Lake City. He attended Gunnison Valley High School, the University of Utah, and he graduated from Bliss School of Engineering in Washington D.C. as an electrical engineer. He retired as a self employed rancher and cattleman. He served as secretary of the New Field Canal Co., served one year on the city council and was currently serving as Vice-President of the Gunnison Telephone Company. He was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. He had a great love for the outdoors and spent many happy hours hunting and fishing.He is survived by his wife, Mary Gardner Sorenson; two sons, Larry Sorenson and wife, Kathy, of Elko, Nevada; Jay Sorenson and wife, Cathy, of Salt Lake City; 11 grandchildren; sister, Ramona Bowker, San Francisco, California. Preceded in death by brother, Gordon W. Sorenson.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 8, 1991, at 1:00 P.M. in the Centerfield LDS Ward Chapel, Centerfield, Utah. Friends may call at the church one hour prior to services. Interment, Gunnison City Cemetery.
