Students of ocean engineering at Texas A&M University conduct a test dive of their two-person people-powered submarine, the Aggie Ray, in the Offshore Technology Research Center wave basin on the Texas A&M campus in College Station, Texas. The students who tested the machine June 3 also were its designers and builders. They created the 415-pound craft to compete in the International Human Powered Submarine Race at Riviera Beach, Fla. The competition is scheduled for June 14-23.
