DEATH: CLYDE B. HOWELLS

Clyde Burdett Howells, 77, of Orem, died Friday, June 7, 1991 at the Utah Valley Regional Medical Center in Provo, Utah.

He was born February 18, 1914 in Ioka, Duchesne County, Utah, a son of George E. and Julia Potts Howells. He married Alice Hancock July 3, 1935 in Vernal, Utah. The marriage was solemnized. He was a farmer and rancher in the Uinta Basin. Moved to Orem and worked at Geneva Steel for 30 years.Survivors include his wife of Orem; his three children, Mrs. Keith (Loreli) Mason, Provo; Chad Howells, Stettler, Alberta, Canada; Mrs. Robert (Beth) Tippetts, Bountiful and formerly of Orem; 14 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; one sister, VaDella Carrell, Orem. Preceded by four brothers and three sisters.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. in the Orem Suncrest 2nd Ward Chapel, 130 North 400 West. Friends may call Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Sundberg-Olpin Mortuary, 495 South State, Orem, and Tuesday, from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the ward chapel. Burial will be in the East lawn Memorial Hills Cemetery,Provo.
