Ella Schofield Christley was born June 7, 1923 and died June 7, 1991, on her 68th Birthday, after a long courageous battle with cancer.

She was born in Springville, Utah to Lester John and Caroline Briggs Schofield. The family lived in California by the time Ella graduated from high school. She went to the East Central States Mission for the LDS Church serving in Virginia where she met William G. Christley. They were married August 14, 1945 in the Logan LDS Temple.She is survived by her husband, Bill of Richmond; there three daughters and one son, Judy Christiansen of Logan; Donna Roper of Las Vegas, Nev.; Janice Wengreen of Logan; and Robert L. Christley of Smithfield; eight grandchildren; one sister, Chloe Silva of Seattle, Wash. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and one sister.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, at 12 noon, in the Richmond 2nd Ward Chapel, 150 South 100 East, Richmond, with Bishop Norm Allen conducting. Friends may call at Nelson Funeral Home, 162 East 400 North, Logan, Monday evening from 7-9 p.m. and at the church on Tuesday from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Burial will be in the Richmond Cemetery.
