Loving husband, beloved father, and grandfather, Evan Posnien Schmuhl, age 61, died August 10, 1991 in West Valley City, Utah of heart failure. He will be greatly missed by his family.

Born April 19, 1930 to Albert Friedrich and Helene Posnien Schmuhl in Ogden, Utah. He married Beverly Maxwell August 28, 1953 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Evan was an active member of the LDS Church and served a mission to West Germany. He also served many years in the Taylorsville West Stake High Council and as Stake clerk. He was the Stake Executive Secretary at the time of his death. A veteran of the Korean Conflict and he retired from Hill Air Force Base.He is survived by wife, West Valley City; one son, Richard and wife Anita Schmuhl, Bennion; three daughters, Mrs. Michael (Susan) Lofgren, Salt Lake City; Mrs. J. Mark (Jennifer) Simpson, Murray; and Patty Schmuhl, West Valley City; two brothers, Howard Schmuhl, Pleasant Grove; Albert Schmuhl, Jr., American Fork; two sisters, Mrs. DeLoy (Dorothy) Teuscher, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Albert (Helen) Bottema, Orem; two grandchildren, Emily and Heidi.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, 12:00 noon, at Tayorsville 4th Ward, 4310 South 3200 West. Friends may call Tuesday, 5-8 p.m., at McDougal Golden Rule Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road, and Wednesday at the church, 11-11:40 a.m. Interment will be in Salt Lake City Cemetery.
