The relocation center at Gump and Ayers Real Estate Inc. has 275 incoming referrals so far in 1991, a 17 percent increase over the 234 reported in 1990. Operating since 1978, the center assists corporations and employees relocating to Utah by providing services such as home search assistance; relocation information on schools, churches, insurance, shopping, recreational facilities, cultural events and transportation; financing and mortgage pre-qualification; spouse employment assistance; and information on personal, property and state taxes.

Robin Hough, center director, attributes the increase of incoming referrals to Utah's attractiveness to corporation and employees seeking an affordable, quality environment."Housing affordability remains the primary concern for transferring employees and people moving to Utah from the east and west coasts are delighted to discover the values available in our housing market," Hough said.

The center also offers a toll-free telephone information service. The new number will give callers immediate attention and information on services the center offers. The number will be published in national trade journals and advertising pieces so people who might be moving to Utah can get the information about the state.
