Six area businesses have won contracts to deliver services and products to schools in the Sevier District for the 1991-92 school year.

Successful bidders are Ideal Dairy, Petrolane Gas, Richfield Coal and Oil, Nelson's Sunbeam Coal, Richfield Sanitation and White's Sanitation. Contracts are for supplying milk, propane gas and coal as well as trash pickup services. The contract with Ideal Dairy contains a clause that prices may be adjusted because of the radical movement of the uniform milk price. Bid prices include 14 cents for a half-pint of white, whole milk in pouches and 15.04 cents in cartons. Two percent milk will cost the district .13 cents and 13.8 cents in the two packaging options, respectively, while prices for 2 percent chocolate milk will be .15 cents and 14.57 cents.

Petrolane will charge $1.09 per gallon for propane, renting storage tanks for $1 per year.

Coal contracts were renewable and prices will remain the same as last year, officials said. Richfield Coal and Oil will supply coal to Richfield High School and schools in Monroe and Koosharem. Nelson's Sunbeam Coal will deliver to the middle school, elementary schools and the district office in Richfield as well as schools in Salina.
