Ralph L. Jones died August 27, 1991 in a Las Vegas hospital.
He was born April 29, 1921 in Tabiona, Utah to Adrian and Marie Jones. He resided in Utah until 1975. During his life in Salt Lake City he was active in business and civic duty. He was manager of the Utah State Fair Horse Show for 25 years. He moved to Nevada in 1975. He was the founder of Ralph Jones Display, a store fixture business which also specializes in Christmas decorating. He was active in the Las Vegas Executive Association. He was American Quarter Horse Association director for Nevada and an AQHA judge for many years. He was appointed by the governor in 1984 as the Chairman of the Nevada Wild Horse Commission. He was a member of the LDS Church.He is survived by Doris Jones, LaMont Jones, Irene Peterson, Vicki Iverson, Ralph Hoot Jones, Christine Field, five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
The funeral will be held at Palm Mortuary, 7600 So. Eastern, Las Vegas, on Saturday, August 31, 10 a.m. There will be no viewing. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to: Help Them Walk Foundation, Inc. 5300 W. Charleston Boulevard, Las Vegas, Nevada, 89102.
