Presiding Bishop Robert D. Hales, who was hospitalized Aug. 23 after suffering a heart attack, was moved out of the coronary-care unit at LDS Hospital Aug. 28 and into a regular hospital room.

Church spokesman Don LeFevre said Bishop Hales' condition has been upgraded from serious to fair.Bishop Hales, 59, was called as Presiding Bishop April 6, 1985. Previously he served as an Assistant to the Twelve and in the First Quorum of the Seventy.
