For many, Education Week at BYU is a time of spiritual renewal and rejuvenation and is one reason why thousands of people make the trek to the campus every year, according to Ellen Allred, coordinator of Education Week.

"Many find answers to questions and problems they are having in their daily lives," she explained. "The week just gives them an uplift that helps them go back and be better people."More than 30,000 people flocked to the BYU campus to attend the annual Education Week Aug. 20-23.

About 1,100 classes were offered by 173 different speakers, ranging from aging and education to parenting and self-improvement. About 46 classes were also offered to youth 14 years and older.

Education Week students came from as far away as Pakistan, New Zealand and Germany, and New Jersey to California in the United States. About 49 states were represented.
