Byron Eugene Farnworth, 75, of Provo, died Friday, August 30, 1991 at his home.

He was born August 7, 1916 in Blackfoot, Idaho, a son of George Cyrus and Eva Isabelle Candland Farnworth. He married Grace Walker August 25, 1938 in Provo, Utah. The marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She died January 31, 1983. Mr. Farnworth served in World War II as a member of the CCC's and in the Army. He was a heavy equipment operator and mechanic and worked for a number of construction companies. He was an active High Priest in the LDS Church and had served as an ordinance worker in the Los Angeles, Provo and Salt Lake Temples.Survivors include; two sons and three daughters, Blaine Farnworth, Orem; Ty Farnworth, Joan "Becky" Farnworth, both of Provo; Mrs. Edward (Rita) Hales, Spanish Fork; Mrs. Dale (Eileen) Bott, West Jordan; 22 grandchildren; 44 great grandchildren; two brothers, and three sisters, George Farnworth, Mammoth; Hershel Candland, California; Rhea Reynolds, Provo; Lola Walters, Portland, Oregon; and Lila Farnworth, Orem. He was preceded by two sons, Burton and Byron "Mugs" Farnworth.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 3, 11 a.m. in the Provo Lakeside 8th Ward Chapel, 131 South 1600 West. Friends may call Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Sundberg-Olpin Mortuary, 495 South State, Orem, and Tuesday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the ward chapel. Burial will be in the Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park, Salt Lake City.
