Henry F. Scheuller, 78, passed away peacefully Thursday, August 29, 1991 at his home after a courageous battle with cancer.

He was born February 4, 1913 in Rotterdam, Holland, son of Gerardus F. and Johanna Fortunia Scheuller. He immigrated to America at age seven after the family's conversion to the LDS Church. He married Phyllis Coleman on October 5, 1936 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.He attended Utah schools, graduating from Wasatch High School and later the University of Utah in history and education. He loved teaching and taught high school, first in Roosevelt for five years and later at Davis High for six years, teaching American History and Debate. He was loved and respected by many students. He later went to work at Hill Air Force Base and worked in civilian personnel before retiring after 27 years of service.

He served in various community service positions including the Kaysville City Council and the Kaysville Justice of the Peace.

He loved his country, and while handicapped throughout his natural life with the loss of his hand was still able to serve his country through volunteer civilian service in Japan and Viet Nam.

He was an active and faithful member of the LDS Church and was a High Priest in the Kaysville 9th Ward. He served many years as the ward and stake teacher trainer and as the ward gospel doctrine teacher.

He was a loving and dedicated father and his fondest memories in life were of times spent in family activities. He loved life and received much enjoyment in doing things for other people and in giving of his time, talents and means in helping others.

He is survived by his wife, one son, H. Coleman, Kaysville, daughter, Pamela Ann Clark, Farmington; he has nine grandchildren, his oldest grandson is currently serving an LDS mission in Germany; one daughter, Erma Ann, preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, September 3rd, at 10 a.m. in the Kaysville East Stake Center, 600 East 200 South. Friends may call Monday, September 2nd, 7-9 p.m. at Lindquist's Kaysville Mortuary. Interment Midway City Cemetery.
