Randi Wagner, noted Utah contemporary artist, has been selected by the United States Department of State "Art in Embassies Program" to exhibit two of her acrylic paintings in the Cyprus U.S. Embassy. U.S. Ambassador David Lamb chose Wagner's "Imperial Kimono" and "Chinese New Year" to hang in the embassy for two years.

The mission of the Art in Embassies Program is to give greater exposure to American art. Today, about 3,000 works of American art worth over $56 million are on view in 141 American embassies around the world.- The Utah Museum of Fine Arts will holds its annual Treasures and Trifles sale from Sept. 13-15 at the Olympus Hills Shopping Center, 3955 S. Wasatch Boulevard. Hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily. Admission is $2.

Thousands of treasures have been collected for the sale - estate furnishings, antiques, paintings, frames, sports equipment. Also available for sale is an electric rolling pin and a 1974 Chevrolet Caprice Classic.

The sale is conducted by the museum's 28-member advisory board. Co-chairs are Timmy Burton, Ruth Bischoff and Gwen Cannon. Proceeds from the fund-raiser help support the museum's art-education programs, which annually enrich 40,000 Utah students.
