The Historical Society of Saratoga Springs has been awarded a $25,000 grant from the New York Council for the Humanities. The society says the grant is the largest given by the council this year.

It will be used for an exhibition in the Historical Society's Museum in the Casino in Congress Park, "Honorable Work: Black Americans in the Resort Community of Saratoga Springs," to open next spring. This is the second in a series the society describes as "examining the lifestyles of traditionally ignored groups in Saratoga Springs."
