The annual five kilometer "Memory Walk" to benefit the Northern Utah Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association is scheduled Saturday, Sept. 7, 9 a.m., at Liberty Park.
Registration begins at 8 a.m. at the north shelter. The association asks participants to recruit sponsors who pledge a contribution for every mile/kilometer they walk. More than 150 participants have registered already, more than last year's total.Money raised from pledges is used to fund services for local families affected by Alzheimer's Disease which is the fourth leading cause of death among adults.
