Bo Jackson will resume his major league career Monday night when the Chicago White Sox face his former team, the Kansas City Royals.

Jackson, scheduled to be in the starting lineup as the designated hitter, sustained what was diagnosed as vascular necrosis of the left hip while playing for the Los Angeles Raiders in an NFL playoff game against Cincinnati on Jan. 13. He signed with the White Sox after being released by the Royals in spring training.Jackson had six singles in 19 at-bats in his six-game rehabilitation assignment in the minor leagues. He played two games with Class A Sarasota and four with Class AA Birmingham.
