Millie Thomson VanOrden, age 99, died at her home in Salt Lake City, August 31, 1991, of causes incident to age.
Born February 27, 1892, in Richmond, Utah, to George M. and Evy Shepard Thomson. Married P. Bertrand VanOrden in the Logan LDS Temple in 1914. He died January 3, 1970. She was an active member of the LDS Church, living 50 years in the Yale Ward. She also lived several years with her daughter in Dallas, Texas.She is survived by her daughter, Mrs R. H. (Shirley) Pardoe, of Dallas, Texas; a son, Dr Richard T. VanOrden and his wife LaVonne; and a sister, Mrs LaVon Baird, both of Salt Lake City; 7 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Dr Max T VanOrden, who died in 1977, and 10 brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 4th, at 12 Noon in the Yale Ward, 1431 Gilmer Drive. Friends may call at the Larkin Sunset Lawn Mortuary, 2350 East 1300 South, Tuesday 6-8 PM and at the Ward Wednesday one hour prior to the services. Burial in the Salt Lake City Cemetery.
