To the editor:
Something has bothered me for years about abortion - not whether it is right or wrong but about the people who condemn scared, frightened and desperate girls or women who want an abortion. If they are young and not married, they know that many people, including some people who are fighting abortion, will condemn them for getting pregnant. If they are married, maybe they have too many children already or they can't afford the exorbitant doctor and hospital bills.
I have not heard any anti-abortion groups offer to help pay any medical expenses, lost wages and offer to adopt all unwanted children.
If they are concerned about saving lives, why don't they condemn the warmongers in our government for sending men and boys overseas to die or be injured for the rest of their lives to protect some American businesses' interests?
If these same do-gooders who are fighting against other people's rights would fight as hard for the future of their own children, this would be a better country and government.
