Virgil Delos Wadley passed away September 2, 1991, quietly at his home after a lingering six year illness.

He was born September 14, 1907 in Woodland, Utah, a son of William Washington and Margaret Jane Ladle Wadley. He grew up and attended school in Tabiona, Utah. He married Oralie Atwood from Hanna, Utah, on January 14, 1931; the marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple on October 27, 1932.He was a farmer, rancher, carpenter, and later worked at University Hospital. He was an avid cyclist. He won the Governor's Senior Citizens Gold Award for bicycling nearly 4,000 miles each year for four years. He was an accomplished artist and poet.

He was a High Priest in the LDS Church. He served in the bishopric of the Tabiona Ward, and many other church positions. He was a very kind and loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was loved by all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife, Oralie; two sons, Howard Ross, Salt Lake City; Lt. Col. Verl Dean, Mountain Home Air Force Base in Idaho; 13 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one sister Vera Harrop. Preceded in death by his oldest son Delos Junior, his parents, and eight brothers and sisters.

Funeral services will be held at the Douglas Ward Chapel, 721 South 1200 East, Saturday, September 7, at 11 a.m. Friends may call at Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple, on Friday, September 6, from 6-8 p.m. and one hour prior to services. Interment will be in the Tabiona City Cemetery.
