The United States accused the Yugoslav military and Serbian leaders of undercutting efforts to end the fighting in Yugoslavia.

State Department spokesman Richard Boucher said Tuesday the United States has limited leverage in influencing events there and welcomed attempts by the European Community to bring peace to the Balkan nation ripped apart by ethnic violence."At the same time, we are concerned that the violence has continued, " Boucher said. "We call on all parties and specifically the Serbian and military leaderships, to implement their commitments in good faith."
