Rep. Jim Hansen, R-Utah, is still undecided whether to run for re-election to the House or for governor - even though he once said he hoped to firm up his plans by Labor Day.
Hansen's press secretary, Peter Jenks, said Tuesday that as far as he knows Hansen has not yet decided what office to seek nor has he set a firm timetable to make that decision.Hansen had also long considered running for the U.S. Senate seat being vacated by Sen. Jake Garn, R-Utah, but announced earlier this year he had decided against it.
At that time, he said he wanted to see what redistricting plans would look like before he decided whether to seek re-election to the House or run for governor. He noted the Legislature would not have such plans ready by Labor Day - and they are still likely weeks or months away.
