A 63-year-old Midvale resident was injured Tuesday morning when a prospective buyer for a vehicle he was selling shoved him out of the car during a test drive.

Dick Sommers and the suspect, who was at the wheel, were driving at 35 mph near 6900 S. 700 West at about 11 a.m. when the suspect reached over and opened Sommers's door and pushed him onto the pavement.The suspect, who is about 35 years old, then drove off, according to Salt Lake County deputy sheriffs. Sommers suffered a broken arm and lacerations.

The 1986 full-sized Ford Bronco has a silver-blue custom paint job, and is carrying dealer's plates numbered DL 05711. A $1,000 reward has been posted for information leading to the suspect's arrest. People with information are to call Det. Dick Owens, 535-7441.
