Skyline moved into the top spot in the Deseret News Coaches Football Poll this week, following the Eagles' 47-7 romp over Mountain View on Friday. The Eagles received four first-place votes.
Alta, the preseason No. 1 in 4A, fell completely out of the poll following the Hawks' 14-7 loss to unranked Hillcrest. Davis moved into second place, followed by Bonneville, Highland and Brighton.In 3A, Bountiful moved up one to first place while preseason No. 1 Bear River dropped to fourth. The Braves defeated Viewmont, 34-0. Dixie, which defeated Carbon 40-13, replaced Jordan in fifth place. The Beetdiggers fell to this week's No. 2, Springville, while Mt. Crest stayed in third place.
San Juan stayed at No. 1 in 2A after edging Beaver, 16-12. Delta stayed in second place after beating Morgan 20-14. Beaver, which fell to No. 4, switched places with Grantsville. Park City stayed in fifth.
There were no changes in 1A standings.
