Montez Bell Harward, 90, of Provo, died Wednesday, September 4, 1991 at a local hospital following a short illness.

She was born February 16, 1901 in Glenwood, Utah, a daughter of Herbert Horace and Lucy Payne Bell. She married Ozias Harvey Harward, January 23, 1917 in the Manti Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He died in July of 1985.She was educated in the Glenwood and Richfield schools. After living in the Auora Utah area, she and her husband moved to Provo in 1934. She was a member of the LDS Church and served in the Relief Society and as an ordinance worker in the Temple. She and her husband served an LDS Mission to the Eastern States.

Survivors include six sons and five daughters, Garn H. Harward, Salt Lake City; LaVon K. Harward, American Fork; Mrs. Clyde L. (Ilene) Olsen, Mrs. William (Iva Lee) Olsen, Mrs. Jack D. (Gay) Olsen and Val H. Harward, all of Orem; Mrs. Carl A (Eva Bell) Smith and Terry C. Harward, both of Provo; Mrs. Cecil (Vila Dean Walker) Bland, Sunnyvale, California; Kenneth B. Harward, Abilene, Texas; Ronald C. Harward, Layton; 74 grandchildren, 186 great-grandchildren, 13 great great-grandchildren.

Services will be Saturday at 12 noon in the Provo North First Ward Chapel at 1260 West 1150 North, Provo. Friends may call at the Walker Mortuary in Provo at 85 East 300 South, Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. and Saturday at the Ward Chapel one hour prior to the services.

Burial will be in the Provo City Cemetery.
